After studying stairs one semester, we were working on our own little design project at Marienbrücke at the Viennice Donaukanal, where does not exist a possibility to reach the lower level. The fact that the highway-level is a busy, noisy and dangerous place lead to my decision for a risky and instable construction of a suspension bridge, giving people the opportunity to step at the lowest point into a wooden box to get down to the sidewalk or to continue walking to the other side. The light hanging steel-/wood construction creates a contrast to the stable and closed wooden box.
